Configuring Outlook Express

On this tutorial, we will be explaining step-by-step everything you need to know to setup your e-mail account using Outlook Express.

1) Open Outlook Express;
2) Go to "Tools" and click on "Accounts"

3) An "Internet Accounts" window will popup. Click on "Add", then click on "Mail..."

4) This will start up Internet Connection Wizard. Enter your name where it says "Display name:" and click "Next" at the bottom right.

5) Enter your Email address in the input box. Then click Next.

6) In the Incoming mail (POP3) field type mail.yourdomain.com
(so if your domain name is lynnanddarla.com, you would type mail.lynnanddarla.com )

7) In the Outoing mail (SMTP) field, you will need to do a little research. If you use Time Warner Cable as your internet provider, you going to put on this field smtp-server.san.rr.com. If your service provider is Cox Cable, use smtp.west.cox.net. If you use ADSL (provided by SBC), you will need to use smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com. If you have a diferent server provider, you will need to contact them to find out what's the right SMTP address you should use. In case all of the above fail or you are not sure about your service provider, try using just mail.yourdomain.com (i.e. mail.lynnanddarla.com). Just click Next when you are done.

7) Now you need to enter your Account Name and your Password. The account name is the e-mail provided by us (i.e. your.name@lynnanddarla.com). Chose wheter you want to Remember your password or not, and click Next.

8) That's it! Just click Finish and you can start using your e-mail.
